If you’re like most people, you’ve tried a variety of hair removal products over your lifetime. You might have noticed that they all have their benefits and drawbacks. Some are messy but cheap, some are time-consuming but painless, some are easy enough but must be repeated frequently, and so on.
What if a new, high-tech solution promised to help you achieve total hair removal – permanently?
Laser Hair Removal in San Diego
This cutting-edge laser hair removal technique is designed to work on all skin and hair types, on any area of the body. The longer wavelength allows us to safely and permanently remove hair in troublesome spots.
CoolGlide differs significantly from electrolysis.
Electrolysis also offers long-term hair removal, via tiny needles which are inserted into each individual hair follicle to deliver an electrical charge. The process is tedious and time-consuming, and often patients repeat treatments over several years before achieving total hair removal.
Cutera CoolGlide was designed as a better alternative to electrolysis. There is no needle, and the laser treatment allows for much faster procedures. Results are achieved much more quickly.
Cutera CoolGlide is virtually painless and hassle-free.
CoolGlide laser treatment can be performed during a quick, convenient office appointment. Some patients notice a mild stinging or pinching sensation, while many others do not notice any discomfort whatsoever. The “cool” in CoolGlide refers to a cooling sensation released by the laser device, which is designed to counter minor discomfort. A topical anesthetic is offered, but most patients find that they do not require it.
Cutera CoolGlide offers fast results.
Around three to seven days after your appointment, you might notice some “regrowth” of hair. This is actually normal shedding of hairs in the treated area. You can shave them if you wish, but waxing or plucking is not recommended.
Most patients will need to attend three to six appointments in order to achieve permanent and total hair removal. This is because hair growth actually happens in three phases, and the laser only affects hairs in the active growth phase. So, we can’t catch them all at once. But over the course of several appointments, we can usually get them all.
Cutera Coolglide is safe, and side effects are minimal.
After your Cutera CoolGlide procedure, you might notice what appears to be a mild “sunburn” in the treated area. Most of the time, side effects range from unnoticeable to slight reddening and swelling. Only on rare occasions do patients report blistering of the skin. Give us a call to schedule an appointment, where we will discuss risks and benefits of the procedure.
